I have heard that a coupon train is a good way to stock up on coupons that you use and pass along those that someone else could use.  How can I join one?

Coupon trains ARE a great way to get coupons you want and to share the coupons you do not want with someone else.

I would recommend starting with Yahoogroups.com. Go to 'coupon trains', read the discriptions and choose the one or two that sound best to you.

I personally like groups that are spread throughout the country. And when I am searching for a good train to join, I usually will search the passanger list on the trains to see where the people are from. I want to join a train where the passenger or two before me are NOT from the east coast (being that's where we are) because they will typically have the coupons that I have aready.

Once you join the group and sign up for a train then you just wait for it to come in the mail, take out what you want and replace that same number of coupons with ones you have and don't want (that's called "refueling the train"), always check all the dates in the train, if you see any that will be close dated before the next couple passengers get the train, be nice and swap them out with coupons that have a longer date., mail it out to the next passenger.

Also, when mailing trains, don't forget that the first ounce is .44 and the second once is .17. So do yourself a favor and stock up on some .17 stamps so you never pay too much for postage.
