I live in Massachusetts and work full-time--I have a family of 5.  To get the coupons I need, do I need to hunt for them on-line and/or subscribe to a newspaper and/or magazine?  My husband has been doing the shopping (3-4 runs a week) and recently estimated that he spends $800-$1,000 a month.  I am pretty stunned.  ???

Ouch! That is rent on a small house! Does your neighborhood recycle? If so, pick up day is the day you should be getting out early to pick up the coupons your neighbors don't use. I would suggest dropping a quick note on each of their doors asking them to please leave the coupons on the top of their piles for you.

Oh and my other piece of advice is to have hubby cut the shopping trips down (as a start) to no more then two trips a week. By doing just this one small thing he is certain to save at least $20 a week. Have him try that for a couple weeks and see how he does. I think that once he sees the savings he may want to cut back on the trips even more.

I would say yes...It worked for me at Market Basket last week.  They had 8 packs of Gatorade and then coupons for 1.50 off.  They let me use one coupon for each 8 pack I bought.

Just check with your store's coupon policies to be certian. Usually if it is a store that does not double there shouldn't be a limit.  I do know that stores like shaw's will only double 6 like coupons per transaction.

I buy a lot of organic products as well as vegetarian products. My 2 boys and my husband are still meat eaters. I find it extremely difficult to find coupons for tofu, etc. Any suggestions?  By having to buy 2 types of cuisine my grocery bill is aweful!!

I call the store and ask the store manager. If I am not sure of something. Sometimes you can read the fine print on the flyers because ever store is differant.

If it is a manufacters coupon and your store does not have a limit then yes! You would be able to use all three coupons. The one thing that would stop you from being able to is if the coupon says "one per transaction" or "one per customer". All other wording would allow you to use them as you stated.

Go to costumer service and ask for a copy from there, sometimes they can do that for you. But your better bet may be to email your local store and ask them to send you a copy of their coupon policies.

There is a quarterly coupon publication called 'Healthy Clippings, Coupons for a NATURAL way of life!'. I know that the health food stores local to me both carry this booklett and it is full of wonderful coupons for brands like Barbara's, Amy's, Biokleen, Natures Path, Food for life and many more.

For meat coupons, for the most part, you'll want to check at store level. Check to see if your store prints bookletts or online coupons, plus there are always managers specials. But often times you will find, in your Sunday paper, coupons for bacon, sausage, deli meat and cheese, hot dogs, kilbasa and more. You just have to keep your eyes open for them.
